Cranbrook is a charming small town built on cloth-making and iron smelting in centuries past. It has a splendid church and our own local museum as well as a recently opened modern swimming pool.

The award-winning Pashley Manor Gardens and three of England's finest and most attractive castles: Leeds - once frequented by King Henry VIII; Bodiam, a striking and well preserved 13th Century fortress; & also Scotney Castle.

In 1 hour you can reach
Canterbury Cathedral, the pretty village of Rye, Camber Sands, Romney Marsh, The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch miniature steam railway, Bewl Water, Batemans, and for a change London is only an hour away by train (from Staplehurst Station, 4 miles distant)!
